Three Angry Scotsmen Brewing
Est. 2009
Milwaukee, WI
Club History:

TAS Brewing is a product of the environment. In 2009, while drinking, quoting Monty Python and other generally silly activities a group of friends began complaining about the shortage of truly good beer on the market. The drunken tirade became a serious discussion about the merits of trying to brew their own beer. Thus in the fall of 2009 the first beer was attempted and TAS was born. Since its inception TAS has been dedicated to brewing and fun. We are a brewing club in name but in practice we are just a bunch of people who like to get together, hang out and brew good beer.
Membership:
TAS is an informal organization. Therefore there are no formal governing documents, rules or regulations. There is a loose set of generally accepted standards by which all brewers have worked from.
This list includes the following:
- All brewers must brew one beer per calendar year.

- Brewers must assist in the formal and informal testing process of the beers.
- Brewers should assist in the consumption of the beers.
- Brewers are financially responsible for the ingredients of the beers that they brew.
- Brewers should assist fellow brewers in the brewing process where needed.

- Brewers are responsible for the physical clean up of group equipment after use.
- Brewers are encouraged to expand both their brewing knowledge and pallet.
- Brewers are encouraged to enter brews into formal competition.
- Brewers are encouraged to embrace their inner Scotsmen.
Meeting Dates & Times:
Meetings are informal and held as needed. Primary means of club communication is through the Facebook group site and personal communication (text, call, or email). Club members, generally, brew once per month in a normal calendar year. The club meets and brews at the TAS Brewhouse.
Dues:
No formal dues are collected by the club. Members are responsible for for the purchase of their own brewing ingredients and to "chip in" for club equipment (Propane tank refills, etc.). Also, member's expertise in other areas may be used by the club (example: building experience used to build a brewing table).
