The Primary Fermenters are a club formed by home brewers and vintners in the Twin Cities who enjoy sharing their hobby with others.  The club consists of members who are learning to brew their first batch of beer to members who are experienced in home brewing.  We pride ourselves in being a club dedicated to the social, educational, and promotional aspects of the home brewing hobby.  Many members also enjoy creating wine and mead when their carboys are not fermenting beer.  Most of all, we enjoy socializing and brewing with others who share our interests.

The Primary Fermenters are not a boring group of people.  Our club meetings are arranged on a rotating basis by members who volunteer to plan the meetings.  This allows every member to plan their own meetings based on their own style.  It keeps the meetings unique and interesting.  So far we've sampled wines at wineries, toured breweries, organized and attended home brew fests, had group brews, met at local bars/restaurants to discuss brewing and sample craft beers, and much more.  Mainly we get together to enjoy what we love most, good beer and wine with friends.  Our yearly dues are used to cover the costs of sampling glasses, membership cards, club brewing equipment, and other minor administrative costs.  Our club hosts 2 home brew fests each year where members sample out their creations for club awards and bragging rights.  We use the brew fests to sample club members beers and wines and offer feedback.  The club also submits samples to the AHA club only competitions.  Group brews are used to educate members on brewing while enjoying the hobby with friends.
