The Menomonie Homebrewers have been active for over 2 years allowing us to continually improve and evolve our member's brewing methods.  The first Monday of every month our club meets at Das Bierhaus in Menomonie where we discuss brewing topics in depth, develop activities and share our homebrew with other members.  Some of our more successful club activities and events have been our group hop & grain buys and our style of the month program. 

The grain buy allows members twice a year to purchase gains in bulk and on the cheap, the club also purchases a few bags of specialty grains which are sold to members for a $1 a pound.

Our group hop buy is conducted in the same manor as our grain buy but instead of ordering only two times a year we place hop orders every four months.

One of our other more successful programs is the monthly style of the month program.  Members are encouraged but not required to brew a certain style of beer to bring into that months meeting.  We explore the style with a short informational discussion followed by a tasting of a commercial version of that months style.  And of course we follow up by sampling our members examples.
