Firkin A, like many other incredible clubs, began with a curious and thirsty desire.  The first batch of liquid inspiration was brewed in a tiny kitchen 2.5 years ago in Long Beach.  Pineapple Pale Ale is what we would call it to this day…  After brewing a couple firkin batches and seeing no end in sight it was decided that a brew club was in order.

Our intent is to provide a beer-enriched environment in which all can share and learn about ingredients, events and above all beer. 
Brew days are typically held at Alex’s home, founder of Firkin A.

Firkin A's club founder, Alex Vidarti, has been brewing for 5 years.  Her Orange Honey Blossom Hefeweizen was recognized by the Ca Home Brewers Association in 2010 and in 2011 she entered 6 original styles into the Ojai Home Brew Festival.  We look forward to receiving more awards and recognition from the home brew community.
