The Boreal Brewers are active in community events that help promote the art and science of brewing.  We've celebrated two Big Brew days by putting on public exhibitions of brewing, we provide potables at various fundraisers, and get together to help each other advance our collective skills and test new and old techniques.  Two members provide brewing classes at Itasca Community College, since 2001, with both the intro and advanced classes spanning over a month each.  Class attendance continues to rise.  We hold semi formal tastings at a variety of venues.  We meet on a variable schedule, once a month or every other month.  We meet at the local Grand Rapids establishment with the most lines of beer in town, at member's homes or at KAXE, the local community radio station.
